Trinity Clinic Whitehouse had a visit on Thursday September 20 from some very special guests.  A group of physicians from New Zealand spent some time visiting with the doctors and staff while observing the flow of the clinic.  The group was introduced to the clinic thanks to our participation in the TransforMed National Demonstration Project.  They attended one of the annual meetings in Kansas City earlier in the month.  The group visited several other practices in the United States who are also involved in the NDP.  While at the clinic they spent time with Dr. Gerdes, who shared with them the functions of the Electronic Medical Record, how it is used as a part of patient care and the similarities between the EMR used at the Whitehouse clinic and the EMR used at their clinics.  They discussed the differences between healthcare in the United States and New Zealand.
